About this Offering

Your belly, often overly scrutinized and under treated, is the beautiful physical and spiritual powerhouse of the body. Containing roughly100 million neurons (more than the spinal cord!) this primally intuitive area is not just a crude machine housing all major organs, but an intelligent system that sends and receives impulses, records experiences and responds to emotions. In our hectic and often disembodied modern culture, the belly is often imbalanced and prone to deeper dysfunction due to chronic stress, poor nutritional habits, lack of exercise and a general lack of feeling “safe” in the world. Belly work has been a focus of my practice since 2007. I use a blend of approaches from deeper specific study with Arvigo techniques of Mayan Abdominal Massage, Chi Nei Tsang and Integrative Myofascial work. Thoughtful abdominal work can address: reproductive and digestive imbalances, sluggish motility, detoxification pathways and fluid exchange, generalize tension, a sense of lacking steady ground. A NOTE ON PRICING In an effort to balance accessibility alongside cost of living, I offer sliding scale pricing based on your current financial means: $160 - The actual cost of the session, if you choose a ticket price below the top tier you are receiving a discount. $140 - For those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this session may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship. $120 - This is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying for this class would still be a significant hardship.
