Death Talk is a branch of Amulette which explores normalizing death and dying as an intractible and natural part of our lived experience. Through art works, gatherings and prose Amulette uplifts this work by bringing visibility to it, while also, honoring that every person's experience with mortality holds a unique experience and story.

In Mourning 🤍 we used to allow more time for the mourning process. We lived in smaller communities and knew when someone faced a loss. We gathered around them to be a steady beacon as they traversed through the dark. Now, we rarely know if someone is mourning. How would we care for another a bit more tenderly, a bit more attentively, if we knew they were in the storm of loss?
